Medical Humanities, as a discipline that sits at the intersection of Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Humanities, has always fitted me perfectly, as someone who doesn't want to limit themselves to only one school of thought. Excited to serve as president of the Medical Humanities Club this year, I hope to create a space where everyone can explore their passions and interests, to reimagine and change medicine the way that they want to.

I am excited to serve as the Medical Humanities Club’s External Vice President and the Medical Humanities Journal’s Editor-in-Chief. I am a junior majoring in Cell Biology and minoring in Medical Humanities on the pre-med track. My favorite aspect of medical humanities is its intersectionality between topics such as history, medical inequities, ethics, and global healthcare, and I am excited to utilize this wide range of information to improve the current medical field. In my free time, I enjoy dancing as a part of Rice Dance Theater, reading, and spending time with friends.

I'm so honored to serve as this year's Internal Vice President of the Medical Humanities Club. I love C.S. Lewis, the Smashing Pumpkins, and walking to convenience stores with my friends. Medical Humanities is such an interesting field, and I'm super excited to introduce it to others.

I'm excited to work as treasurer this year for the Medical Humanities Club! I've always loved Medical Humanities for its ability to connect philosophy and ethics to healthcare, and I'm especially fascinated by medical technology. Outside of MedHum, I love rock climbing, writing, and concerts.

My name is Nayounghee Tuetkin and I am excited to be this year's Publicity Chair for the Medical Humanities Club! I have a deep passion for viewing health care through many lenses and learning about the many intricate layers of humanities within medicine. In addition to my love of the sciences, I am a D1 thrifter, coffee shop explorer and boba tea enjoyer!
